SERVICES
Romany Interpreting & Translations (RIT) specializes in offering legal (court), medical and local government language services in Roma (Romany or Romani), Bulgarian, Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian languages (please see proficiency level below) at no extra costs. RIT offers simultaneous, consecutive, conference, face to face, telephone, skype, audio and document translation (including transcription, proofreading and editing) types of interpreting and translation services. RIT accepts legal aid rates and would gladly do bookings for legal companies at national and international levels. RIT has worked on numerous interpreting and translation assignments and projects for numerous private and public clients and in partnership with different agencies in Europe, UK and USA.

In partnership with professional and experienced interpreters and translators, RIT also offers interpreting and translation services in many other Central and Eastern European and Eurasian languages in any given combination, such as: Greek, Turkish, Macedonian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Albanian, Slovenian, Romanian, Hungarian, Slovak, Czech, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Georgian, Azerbaijani and Armenian. Language proficiency level:
Romany (Romani or Roma) – native speaker of dialects from across Europe and Americas;
Bulgarian (tier 1 & 2) – native speaker;
English – fluent speaker (written and oral);
Serbian, Macedonian, Croatian and Bosnian – good level of understanding, reading and speaking;
Russian – limited proficiency.

ABOUT ME
Romany Interpreting & Translations (RIT) is registered trademark and sole trading business based in Manchester, UK. Mr. Angel L. Ivanov, the Owner and Director of RIT, is freelance interpreter, translator and human rights consultant. The freelancer could interpret and translate in his native languages in any possible language combination. From 2003, Angel has been sporadically doing interpreting and translations in Romany, English and Bulgarian languages on various occasions for different institutions and agencies in different countries across Europe. From September 2014, the period when Mr. Ivanov established his sole trading business in the UK, he has been specializing in doing legal (court), medical and local government interpreting and translations in Romany, English and Bulgarian languages, and interpreting services only in Serbian, Macedonian, Croatian and Bosnian languages. Angel is professional and experienced interpreter and translator with a very good track record and recommendations from his clients and partners. The freelancer possesses a Bachelor's degree in Education, Romany and Bulgarian languages from the University of Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. Mr. Ivanov has also a Master’s degree in Human Rights from the University of Essex, UK.

Angel has been also doing human rights work with individuals of a minority or disempowered background, in particular Roma, for about 13 years. He is a passionate human rights practitioner, experienced in advocacy for human rights, particularly for Roma minority rights. Mr. Ivanov possesses strong academic and practical skills on human rights instruments and mechanisms, specifically the ones designed for minorities. He also possesses strong communication, human rights research and report writing, office and budget administration, project and grant coordinating and monitoring, database and event organising, fundraising and IT skills. Further, Angel is knowledgeable about Roma, Bulgarian and to some extent Balkan cultural, historical, political and social contexts. Lastly, he has very good adaptation skills to different cultures and ethnicities, especially to cultures originating from Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), considering his experience in and origin from the region.
